Holistic massage is “classic” relaxing massage.


If you have never had a massage before this is a good place to start. It helps relax the body and mind and the effects are both physical and mental. It can create a feeling of wellbeing and allows for deep levels of relaxation.

This massage has shown to be helpful in reducing pain, and joint stiffness. It is an ideal complimentary therapy if you have physical aches and pains or feel stressed, anxious or depressed.

Holistic massage uses five styles of long, flowing strokes to massage.

The five basic strokes are:
- effleurage (sliding or gliding)
- petrissage (kneading)
- tapotement (rhythmic tapping)
- friction (cross fiber)
- vibration/shaking.
